The private member's Bill was presented by Labour MP Debra Shipley in May (Children Now, 28 April-4 May) and Charlie Powell, project manager at Sustain, revealed so far 205 MPs said they would support it.
The Bill calls for regulations on food quality, the composition of school meals and food education.
Powell said Sustain had yet to decide whether it would ask MPs to debate the Bill under a ballot vote and to pursue it during this session of parliament, or to present it after the expected General Election in May.
The charity has sent out 500,000 leaflets comprising two postcards to boost support.
