Health News: Mental health - Campaigns need to be modernised

Lessons from sexual health campaigns can help boost the number of Black and minority ethnic children accessing mental health services, according to research due out next month.

Researchers at the Minority Voices project, run by Young Minds, explored the experience of young people from minority ethnic groups in England and Wales.

Dr Cathy Street, lead researcher, said tackling the lack of awareness of services among young people involved more than "nice leaflets".

She said there was also an urgent need for translated materials for asylum seekers.
