Despite the teenage conception rate in Northumberland mirroring thenational average, there are wide variations between its districts.Wansbeck, in the county's north has the highest rate. Action outlined inthe county's teenage pregnancy strategy include a forum to lead onmulti-agency working to increase sex and relationships education, and aperipatetic family planning nursing project to deliver services intarget areas.
