South Ribble - 6.4% of live births weighed less than 2,500 grams in 2004 (7.6 per cent in England)

High Peak - 6.2% of live births weighed less than 2,500 grams in 2004 (7.6 per cent in England)

Epping Forest - 5.7% of live births weighed less than 2,500 grams in 2004 (7.6 per cent in England)

The percentage of live births weighing less than 2,500 grams in South Ribble fell by 0.7 between 2003 and 2004. In High Peak it went down by 0.2 per cent and in Epping Forest by 1.5 per cent. The percentage of live births weighing less than 2,500 grams across England decreased from 7.7 per cent in 2003 to 7.6 per cent in 2004.
