Harrow issues net 'commandments'

Harrow Council's youth service has issued its top 10 commandments for surfing the net safely.

The commandments were put together with a group of young people and will be featured on mousemats placed in areas such as youth cafes.

The tips include: treat personal information like a toothbrush - don't share it with anyone; and only use profile pictures that you are happy for your grandparents to see.

Christine Bednell, portfolio holder for schools and children's development at Harrow Council, said: "Young people are being taught to recognise dangerous situations."
