Hannah Bilverstone, 18, Hertfordshire

I battled depression and anorexia as a young teenager and used YouthNet's online support service TheSite.org during this time. I narrated the story of my experiences and recovery for the Radio 4 appeal alongside chairman and founder of YouthNet, Martyn Lewis.

I have been involved with other appeals about how online support should be more widely publicised and acknowledged, so that young people know where they can find help.

I have acted as a spokeswoman for an eating disorder charity, as well as a young person's mental health charity. I have been interviewed by the BBC, challenged MPs on issues in the House of Commons and was involved in creating an educational docu-drama on anorexia for use in schools.

I hope to work full-time in the media, so I can continue raising awareness for young people's issues.
