Guide shows early help impact

New Early Intervention Foundation online tool gives commissioners an idea of how effective programmes are.

A year after it was launched, the Early Intervention Foundation has published a guidebook to programmes that can be used by commissioners to decide what interventions they should invest in.

So far, the online tool profiles a total of 50 projects at varying stages of development, giving each of them a rating based on how successful they have proven to be and how much evidence they have underpinning them.

The guidebook is configured so commissioners can search for programmes based on which outcomes they wish to improve - whether it be the family and home life, early child development, mental health and wellbeing, preventing substance misuse or several other categories.
