Guidance covers online sex abuse

Social Care Youth Work
The London Safeguarding Children Board has launched guidance on supporting children and families affected by adults that view child sexual abuse images online.

The guidance, which was developed in partnership with Essex Safeguarding Children Board and the NSPCC, advises professionals on how to risk-assess children living with adults who view such images.

It teaches practitioners how to spot when technology is being misused, and includes guidelines on how to identify whether or not an adult could progress from viewing child abuse online to actually committing physical child abuse.
