Good Idea: Eden camp offers access for vulnerable children

The Cornwall-based Eden Project has teamed up with the YHA to provide a campsite that they hope vulnerable children will be able to use as a base to attend their educational activities.

Provider: Eden Project and YHA

Name: Little Carne Farm campsite

The Youth Hostels Association (YHA) has joined forces with charity and social enterprise the Eden Project to offer vulnerable children and young people a valuable learning opportunity.

Throughout July and August groups of young people will camp on-site at the Eden Project, near St Austell, Cornwall, gaining new experiences and developing key skills through outdoor educational activities.

The camping facility, located on Little Carne Farm within the grounds of the Eden Project, will be provided by education charity YHA after the two organisations joined forces in a bid to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
