Youth clubs empty out. Hangout spots fall strangely quiet. No one gathers outside the local convenience store. And the only people in bus shelters are those who want to travel.
So where is everybody? Well, you'll find most of them down the park. As the evenings get lighter and the weather finally starts to warm up many young people head off to their local park. It's not difficult to work out why. Admission is free and the park is just about the last place where young people can meet their mates, have some fun and make a bit of noise without anyone accusing them of antisocial behaviour and applying for a dispersal order.
