The three delegates, who were selected by the Foreign Office earlier this year to attend the sixtieth UN General Assembly, have collected the views of young people on the issues covered in the UN's World Programme of Action for Youth (WPAY).
Frederick Bernas, 19, Keeley Williams, 20, and Kristofer McGhee, 20, planned to use their findings to influence a round-table discussion that forms part of a week of activities to mark the 10-year review of the implementation of WPAY.
Of the 120 young people who responded to their survey, the majority said young people did not receive enough education about environmental issues. Most also felt that the Government does not properly resource leisure activities. The UN's World Youth Report, Young People Today and in 2015 is due to be launched this week.
