Funding briefs

Aberdeen City Council has launched an online database to help organisations find sources of funding for finance, community and business projects. The Grantnet database contains details of more than 4,000 potential funding sources. www.aberdeencity.gov.uk

Voluntary and community groups that run activities for young people aged 13 to 19 in Hackney, London, can apply for funds from the borough's Positive Activities for Young People programme. A total of £4.5m will be available over three years. The application deadline is 1 October. www.teamhackney.org/commissioning

Anti-crime charity Crimestoppers will be one of the beneficiaries of Icap's annual global charity day. The event, which takes place on 10 December, will see the financial firm give its profits from that day to charity. Last year, this totalled more than £9.2m.
