Ten-year-old harpist Shelley Musker-Turner played at the launch of a fund for young musicians from some of the most disadvantaged areas of Wales. The Communities First (Music) Trust Fund will support musical activities outside school from choirs to youth rock bands in 142 areas. It will be trialled for a year and run by the Welsh Council for Voluntary Action. www.wcva.org.uk.
