Cast, a Nottinghamshire-based angling project for young people in rural areas, has been awarded a 150,000 grant from the Young People's Fund to use fishing as a way to motivate young people and get them interested in learning. Another East Midlands organisation, Groundwork Erewash Valley, received nearly 120,000 to provide life skills training for young people aged 13 to 16 at high risk of offending.
