From the Ashes: Treharris Nursery School reopens following major fire

The mayor of Merthyr Tydfil has officially reopened the Treharris Nursery School, more than two years after it was closed due to a major fire. Councillor David Phillips was the guest of honour at the event, which took place earlier this month. The nursery has been housed in Edwardsville Infant School since the fire in March 2002. Treharris headteacher Thora Williams said: "The staff have been exceptional throughout the past two years and we are all looking forward to continuing to develop the school here in Treharris."
