Professor Al Aynsley-Green will also highlight the plight of youngpeople forced to use adult mental health services and over 14s who arenot getting the housing or protection they need. These are just some ofthe goals unveiled in a report on the commissioner's first year inoffice.
Aynsley-Green was appointed to the 130,000-a-year job in Julylast year. The report says that his office's achievements includereporting on the treatment of young asylum seekers and campaigningagainst inappropriate use of anti-social behaviour orders.
In 2006/07 the commissioner's office will publish research on how muchchildren and young people have influenced local authorities' childrenand young people plans. And it will report on plans for a complaintssystem for parents whose children are bullied at school.
