Last week, Sendist transferred into a new two-tier tribunal system and became part of the Health Education and Social Care Chamber.
But Lever said Sendist service users are in the dark about what the new system will mean for them.
He said: "The lack of information from the government about the new process has been unacceptable and has resulted in misinformation, anxiety and stress for families, which could have been avoided."
Simon Oliver, a Sendist judge, claimed the new system would be more efficient and cost-effective. He also promised the tribunal would provide free training courses for parents' representatives on the new procedures. "The changes are designed to ensure a more effective service leading to faster resolutions, which will be of benefit to all parties especially the children concerned," he said.
