Who can apply? Elizabeth Finn Care helps British and Irish families. The person who applies has to be living on a low income or means-tested benefits. They can only apply if they have formerly been employed and have a qualification that equates to NVQ Level 4 and above. This includes jobs such as accountants, teachers, nurses and journalists. The website includes a section called "Unsure if we can help you?" This includes a list of commonly asked questions and a list of circumstances covered by the fund.
What will it fund? Elizabeth Finn Care gives weekly grants to help with day-to-day living expenses and also helps with the cost of emergency repairs and replacements such as a leaking roof or broken boiler. It contributes to the cost of much needed specialist disability aids.
