Members at the union's annual conference in Torquay backed a motionblaming curriculum pressures for limiting children's playtime at schooland demanding more money for play equipment.
The conference also saw the union backing plans to fight theGovernment's Education Bill. It agreed to try and get MPs to giveparents the ability to veto the creation of trust and academy schoolsthrough local ballots.
Delegates also said they would consider taking industrial action to stopthe reforms.
Another teaching union, NASUWT, also held its annual conference lastweek in Birmingham. NASUWT members supported motions demanding thatyoung teachers get training on dealing with aggressive pupils andcalling for a national system of recording incidents of classroomviolence.
