The Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (Seal) programme is alreadyrunning in six out of 10 primary schools and will now be expanded tosecondary schools across England from September.
The extra cash will support the extension of SEAL during the next fouryears and is in addition to 7m already confirmed for theprogramme.
Seal teaches pupils skills such as how to resolve conflict fairly, teamworking and ways to manage strong feelings such as anger.
Children's secretary Ed Balls said: "The programme will make sure allchildren understand the importance of being confident and interactingwith other children in a respectful and positive manner."
