Does My Bum Look Big in This? will involve 12 young women from YWCA Carlisle taking part in a residential to discuss the causes of poor body image and eating disorders and how they can be prevented.
The young women, aged 11 to 16, will then work as peer mentors in their own communities to share what they have learned and help other young women to view themselves positively.
The project is jointly run by YWCA England & Wales and youth development charity Brathay Hall Trust. It involves a five-day residential at Brathay Hall in August, two workshops before the course and a further three afterwards.
