East Sussex teens head to Uganda

Youth Work
Sixteen young people from Hailsham in East Sussex are heading to Uganda this month to assist in a community project.

The trip, a joint initiative between The Square Youth Cafe and local charity The Quicken Trust, will see young people and staff assist in the building of a new home for a family in the village of Kabubbu. The young people will also organise recreational activities for villagers.

Geraldine Gurr, deputy youth project co-sordinator, said: "It has been a long, hard journey to get to Uganda, with all the fundraising, but it will be so rewarding."
