Early years course receives approval

1 min read Careers Early Years
A training course for early years workers has been given the thumbs-up from the Children's Workforce Development Council.

The Level 3 Integrated Practice training module, devised by charity 4Children, was put together following a consultation with more than 1,000 workers and has now been endorsed by the sector skills council.

Workers involved in the consultation said they wanted a clear idea of what shared vision meant, better information about signposting, a common language to be used throughout care professions and clear protocols on partnership working.

Anne Longfield, chief executive of 4Children, said: "The success of the government's drive towards renewing children's services through demanding more co-ordinated and joined-up working practices depends on the performance of front-line workers.

"The new approach can only be realised if professionals receive tailored training that gives a clearer picture of their roles and how they work in the broader framework of children's services," she added.
