The training and support service has been launched by education technology agency Becta and the Association of Directors of Children's Services.
The service is for all designated e-safety officers, who will get a two-day training course to bring them up to speed with internet safety issues, cyber-bullying and mobile phone use.
Becta's chief executive Stephen Crowne said: "Young people have grown up with technology, but to help them make the most of it we need to make sure they stay safe from harm."
Safeguarding boards are currently in the process of nominating e-safety officers, who will be in place by May. The training, which will take place in June and September, is funded by Becta and the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre.
