Drugs advice sent to mobile phones

Drugs information service Frank has launched a text messaging service for young people to help them access advice and support quickly.

Under the initiative, young people can text 82111 for advice from professionals on any drug-related issue. Frank has also launched a self-help tool on its website www.talktofrank.com to help cannabis users quit using the drug.

Chris Hudson, spokesman for Frank, said: "We hope that by working to support young people through services that are more accessible and immediate, we are able to challenge many of the barriers associated with obtaining anonymous advice."
