Kamalpreet Kaur Aulaukh, 16, from Evington in Leicester has been given a Diana Award in recognition of her community work to improve other people's lives. The mayor of Leicester presented her with the award at a ceremony on 23 June. Kamalpreet has worked as a volunteer at a charity shop and also taken part in a youth programme that teaches young people about human values. She has also carried out fundraising work for charity Wishes 4 Kids.
