A Labour MP has warned that children are being let down by a legal loophole that allows internet grooming. According to The Independent, Sarah Champion, who represents Rotherham, said current legislation, which prevents police intervention until a groomer has contacted a victim twice, is the biggest obstacle for campaigners trying to tackle child exploitation.

New figures show that a rising number of students are choosing A-levels in subjects that help secure jobs with the highest wages and lowest chances of unemployment. Data from the Joint Council for Qualifications shows an increase in students taking A-levels in maths and the sciences.
