
A new service aimed at speeding up the adoption process in Wales will be launched later this year. The BBC reports that the National Adoption Service, which pledges to improve how prospective adopting parents and children are matched up, and reduce the number who end up in the care system for Wales, will start in November.
The youth police and crime commissioner for Kent will not conduct public engagements while reports of a relationship with a 50-year old man, a former Kent councillor, are being investigated. The BBC reports that 20-year-old Kerry Boyd was appointed after her predecessor Paris Brown, then 17, resigned over offensive comments she made on Twitter.
