CYP Now Awards 2012: A showcase for excellence

Too much wonderful work that happens in this land of ours goes unrecognised and unappreciated. It is work that enables children, young people and families to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives, thereby building a better society.

The Children & Young People Now Awards set out to put this right. Now in their seventh year, there are 19 categories open to individuals and projects from across the UK. We have updated some of the categories this year and sharpened their titles. As ever, entries must be able to provide evidence that demonstrates the impact of the work.

For me personally and professionally, the CYP Now Awards are the most illuminating, humbling and inspiring evening of the year. This year’s gala awards ceremony will return to its full pomp at the striking Georgian clubhouse in the Hurlingham Club in Fulham, west London, the memorable scene of several CYP Now Awards in the past. The event will be held on the evening of Thursday 29 November.

So think back over the best things you have done over the past year, put in your entries and join us for a great night out.
