It sets out the roles and responsibilities ofcouncils, governing bodies, head teachers and staff with designatedresponsibility for child protection.
There is also a section on community-focused schools, pre- andpost-school activities, and out-of-hours learning. The document coversthe arrangements needed to ensure that people in the education servicehave the skills and training to ensure children and young people areprotected from harm.
