Consultation of the week: Reducing Health Inequalities - Issues forLondon and Priorities for Action

The Mayor of London is looking to develop a 20-year strategy to reduce health inequalities in London, to coincide with the delivery of the London Plan.

The health inequalities strategy will focus on improving the wellbeingof everyone in the city, addressing inequalities between boroughs andpromoting a social model of health.

Areas focused on include: education, skills and employment; therelationship between income and health inequality; inequalities inaccess to local health services; increasing participation indecision-making and they way physical environments impact on health.
