CONFERENCE: Margaret Hodge to speak at YPN event

1 min read

The minister for children and young people's speech will be one of several sessions dealing with aspects of the Government's green paper on children, just days before the end of the consultation period. Dominic Hudson, one of the green paper team at the Department for Education and Skills, will lead a workshop on practical implications for those who work with young people.

Other contributors to the conference will include Peter Facey, director of the think-tank New Politics Network, and Fiona Blacke, chief executive of Connexions Tees Valley.

The conference is being organised by the Young People Now Foundation, a charity set up jointly by the magazine and The National Youth Agency to support work with young people. It will be the first national event aimed specifically at bringing together people from across the spectrum of work with young people. A system of sponsored places will reduce the ticket price for practitioners.
