Civil courts: Family case fees to be restructured

The fee structures for family cases in civil courts are to be reviewed.

The Department for Constitutional Affairs' consultation Civil Court Feeslooks at a revised system of fee concessions.

And it asks if in family proceedings the automatic fee exemption forthose receiving legal aid should be removed.

It also says that during the next few years the Government will continueto implement its strategy through a review of the financial objectivesand fee structures for family cases.

The consultation ends on 25 June.
