Children's fund - Inclusive approach praised in review

Children's Fund partnerships have been praised in a new report for their efforts in making their management boards inclusive.

The latest review from the National Evaluation of the Children's Fund also says there is a growing focus on using outcome indicators in the planning and commissioning of services.

But there have been difficulties in ensuring broad voluntary sector representation on boards.

And the report also warns that expectations of the "catalytic effect" of the Children's Fund in improving social inclusion need to be "reasonable".
