Childminding: Web-based care service launched

The National Childminding Association has teamed up with a web-based childcare service to provide last-minute childminders.

Association members will now be able to register for free with EmergencyCare, which already has more than 500 nurseries and 1,000 nannies on itsdatabase, and allows parents to book childcare online as and when theyneed it.

"Childminders will be able to offer parents security in knowing that agood-quality childcare solution is only a click away," said CharlesRice, director of childcare workforce development at the association."This partnership benefits both parents and childminders."

More than 1,500 parents from across the UK are registered users of theweb site, which is run by the childcare agency Tinies.
