
Under reforms unveiled by Ofsted last month, all early years settings on the Early Years Register, maintained schools and academies, non-association independent schools, and further education and skills providers will be assessed through a common inspection framework (CIF).
The CIF, set to be introduced from September, is Ofsted's attempt to harmonise inspections of education settings, and introduces a number of changes for early years settings. Three experts give their verdict on what these changes will mean for providers.
