Childcare & Early Years: Sure Start publish culinary favourites

Early Years
A Liverpool children's centre is taking on celebrity chefs Nigella Lawson and Jamie Oliver with its own cook book.

The book, produced by Sure Start Speke, is the result of a training course run by the children's centre to get parents and grandparents eating and cooking healthier food. Recipes in Can Cook Will Cook include Mick's Lamb Curry and Chocolate Orange Mousse.

Robbie Davison, marketing and development manager at Sure Start Speke, said: "The book is an exciting part of our enterprise agenda and the money earned from its sales will contribute to improving services to deprived children and families. The recipes in there are ones that the parents and grandparents on the course prepared themselves."

The book will be on the shelves from mid-October and will cost £10.
