Chief executive Caroline Slocock said this issue had not been adequately addressed in the Government's 10-year strategy for childcare.
She told Children Now: "There is nothing specific to help with the higher cost of disabled children and childcare for those children and that's a very real issue. We know parents have great difficulty finding childcare they can afford."
Slocock praised the overall vision of the strategy and hailed it as "a breakthrough for families" offering greater choice and rights for both mothers and fathers.
But she also highlighted areas for further work, including the need to attract more men into the childcare workforce.
