Childcare: 4Children to guide firms on provision

1 min read
Employers who help their staff with childcare will reap the benefits, according to 4Children, which has set up a new support scheme for businesses.

The children's charity will launch Corporate Membership 4Children at its Every Childhood Matters conference next week.

Employers will be offered advice on how to develop childcare in-house or help staff find services that suit their needs.

They will also get information on the Working Tax Credit, regular briefings on Government policy and a free session with 4Children consultants.

4Children spokesman Alec Jessel said: "Thousands of companies probably haven't really considered these issues as much as they could have."

A spokesman for the Federation of Small Businesses, which runs a helpline offering advice on issues such as childcare, said small companies can accommodate employees' childcare needs with the right guidance.
