Report author Lisa Harker said: "Child poverty in London ismulti-dimensional and clearly a serious problem. If it's not tackled wewon't be able to reduce it in the way the Government wants." She added:"Employment is at the heart of things, it's very hard for families withchildren to get into work. And high costs are a massive issue,particularly housing, childcare and transport costs.
It can be difficult for families to feel it's worth working."
