Charlton works with UK Youth

UK Youth has joined forces with Charlton Athletic FC to run its latest Youth Achievement Foundation.

The foundations are small independent schools that provide an alternative curriculum for young people who struggle in mainstream education. The school will be based at the club's training facility in New Eltham, south London, and will take 26 students in its first year.

Last month, UK Youth secured almost £1m from the Department for Education to expand the number of foundations.
