
The partnership between Microsoft and UK Youth will see the youth clubs given a technology upgrade, so that they can help provide “essential life skills” for young people using their services.
Microsoft will also provide UK Youth member organisations with access to training, work experience and apprenticeships for young people.
It is yet to be decided which 30 youth clubs will benefit from the scheme. As such, clubs are being asked to apply to be considered for the programme from September.
Charlotte Hill, chief executive at UK Youth, said: “Lots of learning takes place beyond mainstream school and it's this vital 'non-formal' activity that we focus on.
