Backed by the Department for Children, Schools and Families and run by Together for Children and the National College for School Leadership, the children's centre leader networks will start meeting in September.
The networks are designed to support the growing number of children's centre managers. Liz Railton, programme director at Together for Children, said: "There was a growing feeling from these leaders that they felt a bit isolated and wanted to be able to talk to people in similar roles."
As well as face-to-face meetings, there will be a dedicated section on Together for Children's website to support the networks. This month, the networks' reference group will meet for the first time to thrash out priorities. Children's minister Beverley Hughes will attend.
