Bullying: Londoners asked to help fight bullies

1 min read

The campaign - a joint initiative from charity Beatbullying, the Mayor of London, the Association of London Government and Transport for London - aims to help adults spot, intervene and report bullying with the consent of the affected child. Its launch follows Beatbullying research showing that 36 per cent of Londoners had witnessed bullying on the capital's streets.

Londoners will be encouraged to log incidents of bullying, report them to local Police Community Safety Units, and inform schools.

BullyWatch London packs - which include stickers, posters, badges and credit card-size information cards - will be sent to schools, newsagents, businesses and leisure centres. The BullyWatch London web site includes report forms that can be handed to police.
