BULLYING: Anti-bullying charter created to encourage victims tospeak out

1 min read

Tell Someone is a 60-second film to be broadcast on more than 70 television stations, encouraging children and young people not to suffer in silence.

It will be advertised on buses, in shopping centres and at motorway service stations.

The charter will be developed with a range of associations and charities to help schools tackle bullying, and will give them the chance to commit to a zero-tolerance culture.

Education watchdog Ofsted will also issue its inspectors with handbooks to help them assess anti-bullying practice.

These anti-bullying measures were revealed as the Department for Education and Skills announced a 75m package of training and consultancy to help teachers improve behaviour and attendance at secondary schools.
