Budding Buglers in Essex: Come and play day for young musicians

This young bugler is one of the children from the Castle Hedingham Kids Club in Essex, who made 16th century instruments and costumes and learnt Elizabethan songs to take part in a colourful musical production at the Earl of Oxford's castle.

Children from the club, which is based at the Devere Primary School in Castle Hedingham, dressed up and paraded through the streets before putting on a performance of singing, dancing and drama for parents and friends in the castle's banqueting hall.

The event resulted from the club's involvement in Come and Play, a musical programme aimed at children aged four to 14, run by 4Children and supported by Youth Music.
