Best thing I ever did: Stephen Weston, 16, Crawley

1 min read
I recently became St John Ambulance's Lord Lieutenant Cadet for West Sussex. The Lord Lieutenant is responsible for arranging any royal duties within the county and I accompany him on many of these duties. It is an experience not bestowed on every Cadet, so it is an honour and I am looking forward to my year in office.

I joined the St John Ambulance Badger Unit at the age of six. When I was 10, I moved up to the Cadet Division and started to work towards my Grand Prior award, which I received at the end of 2004. St John Ambulance has enabled me to make many friends and has given me the chance to gain a sound knowledge of first aid and leadership skills.
