I want to write about seaside holidays. It may seem a bit late in theyear for that, but I've just had one, in the UK and in the sunshine.
We only had a week off but we were determined to escape the humdrum oftargets and deadlines for a few days, and off we went.
Deepest Cornwall. A little cove on the south coast; a tiny enclaveperched underneath a cliff a mile or so from Penzance. Pretty muchinaccessible by road and set on one of the most beautiful beaches youwill ever see.
It's one of those places where generations of family have grown up andhad their own children - and stayed, or come back to bring them up inparadise. I spoke to a woman on the beach with a couple of toddlers whowere having a great time in the sand. "I wouldn't want to bring them upanywhere else - it's the kind of place where dreams come true," she toldme. And I couldn't blame her.
