The event started with us thinking about issues thataffect looked-after children and young people and it didn't take longbefore they were coming out thick and fast - contact with family, placement changes, health and education. Unsurprisingly, the list wasendless.
The workshop leaders then began to fit words to back beats and the groupbegan to sing along. They all fell about laughing when I tried it, as Ihave a strong accent not given to a stereotypical rapper image. But Igave it a crack, and the children gave me the rap name Ol' GrumpyBas***d!
