Last week I tried to get my hands on a couple of copies of the Government's long-awaited green paper Every Child Matters. The proposals are big news for all of us. The paper promises wholesale change in the way children and young people's services are organised and delivered. It was all so important that I thought I would upgrade from my dog-eared downloaded black and white copy to the full colour glossy version.
But could I get hold of a copy? Not a chance. They were all out of stock just three days after publication. I think I would have had more chance trying to find a copy on eBay. But the young people's version? Not a problem. A click of a mouse and two days later a box of 100 arrived at my door.
